The ex village Sarpanch, Boota Singh told the Ajit newspaper reporter that Jagsir was actively involved in the Delhi Farmers protest and have been to the protest sites several times in the past few months. His debt and stress from inconclusive farmers protest may have pushed him to take this extreme  step.
