At the Haryana-Delhi border, Delhi Police used water cannons, tear gas shells and lathi charge continuously to stop the farmers. This resulted in injuries to many. One farmer was martyred. The union home ministry asked the farmers to hold the rally at Nirankari Bhawan, Burari but the farmers’ organisations refused the offer.
